Join us for VOLUNcheers!—a monthly happy hour with a purpose! Meet new friends, enjoy a local beer or wine, and give back to a nonprofit making a difference in our community. Each month, we’ll spotlight a different organization, learn about their impact, and tackle a small but meaningful project to support their mission.

This Month’s Feature: The SOW Project - April 28
This month, we’re teaming up with The SOW Project to help prep materials that support their culinary workforce training program. The SOW Project is an outcome-based culinary workforce development nonprofit dedicated to preparing individuals for meaningful careers in the food industry.

Their program focuses on more than cooking—it helps students build the skills needed to become reliable employees, develop their talents, and learn how to work with nutritious, locally sourced ingredients. Students receive uniforms, textbooks, financial literacy support, and job placement assistance so they can focus on learning and securing stable employment in the community.

We’ll start with a behind-the-scenes look at their work, then roll up our sleeves for a hands-on project—all while enjoying a laid-back, social atmosphere.

Bluebird Nature Fest and Crawfish Boil

Volunteers are needed to make this family friendly event a success. Duties include:

• Check-in / Wristband Pickup 

• Crawfish Tent Support

• Trash Maintenance & Cleanup
